Terms and conditions
- Once you have submitted an online rental request form, we will send you an invoice based on equipment availability – hiring of equipment will only be confirmed once full payment is made within the stipulated time limit.
- Hire charge is for TIME OUT & NOT TIME USED. (ie. items not used once in your possession will not be reimbursed)
- Hire period is for 3 weeks, (except for the scale which is hired out for 4 weeks),If equipment is returned late – we reserve the right to charge an additional *R50- R250 per week at our discretion. *dependent on item hired.
- Prices are subject to change without notice, but stand at the time of booking.
- Birthworks is not responsible for delays caused by late return of equipment by another hirer or late delivery of equipment by a freight company. Birthworks maintains its rental equipment to the highest standards, and shall not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, special incidental, punitive, cover or consequential damages, arising out of the use of any of our rental equipment.
- Bookings are subject to availability of equipment. We reserve the right to refuse any booking.
- Birthworks will not be held liable for any medical aid claims that may be rejected. The onus is on each hirer to confirm reimbursement details directly with their scheme.
- Prices include a *refundable breakages deposit of R350.00 – R500 for birth pools & tens machines,R50 for scale & balls &R100 for birth stool) (*refundable if equipment is returned in good working order) to cover breakages and losses. The refund will be repaid via EFT once you have returned the items and furnished us with your bank details.
- Should you cancel your order after payment you will be charged an admin fee. For late cancellations (within 4 weeks prior to rental period) – refunds will be at our discretion.
- All rental equipment must be checked by the hirer on collection / delivery and must be confirmed to be in good working order. The hirer is responsible for the replacement of equipment in the case of any theft, loss and or damage whilst on hire. This will be charged at full cost and will be deducted from the deposit. If damage exceeds the deposit amount, the hirer will be required to cover these costs. Please notify us immediately if you become aware of any such loss or damage to any equipment hired out.
- Freighting / delivery costs will be calculated and charged directly to you.
