Karen Clark
She has been a midwife for 25 years and is constantly learning, mostly from women and their babies and birth processes. She has two children who were born at home and is passionate about home birth but more importantly women led birth.
Karen is a co-founder of Birthworks, a website aiming to provide a platform for women to network to find appropriate caregivers as well as to hire birth equipment to facilitate the kind of births they want.
Lana Petersen
Lana joined Birthworks in 2009 and manages the day to day functions of Birthworks. She is a mother of two home-birthed daughters, full time doula and traditional birth attendant.
Gayle Friedman
Is a Mother of 3 grown up children all born at home with a midwife between 1986 and 1994. They were all breastfed for a year plus and raised vegetarian and medical drug free.
Thankful and blessed. I feel able to share my pregnancy, birth and mothering experience and encourage each woman to find her own authentic way.
